Re: “Inside Russia at war,” (The Hill Times, Sept. 13, pp. 4-5). In his article about his trip to Moscow, Scott Taylor says that “in the interests of full disclosure … transport, logistics, and catering were provided at the Moscow Conference on International Security by the Russian organizers.” Except he doesn’t say who the “Russian organizers” were. It’s the Russian Ministry of Defence. Congratulations, Scott. You’re taking gifts from war criminals. You must be very proud. In the 1930s, the Stalin regime used to sponsor all manner of western cranks and useful idiots like George Bernard Shaw or Walter Duranty to “tour” the Soviet Union and tell the world how great things were under communist rule, amidst the Holodomor and the Great Terror.
