Controversial appointment of top ethics watchdog with family ties to cabinet minister holds merit, say public policy experts

Martine Richard, the sister-in-law of Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc, was appointed as the interim ethics commissioner in late March, following a decade of service in the federal ethics office.
