‘Iconic’ Bill Blaikie: ‘a giant of a man’ among the ‘most distinguished social democrats of our age,’ says Ed Broadbent
Former NDP MP Bill Blaikie, who died on Sept. 24 of kidney cancer at the age of 71, will be remembered as a powerful and effective opposition MP. He also held the record for the longest continuous parliamentary service of any CCF/NDP MP in Canadian history.
