Without a much stronger and more innovative manufacturing industry, it’s hard to imagine a post-pandemic 'Build Back Better' strategy that delivers good jobs and productivity gains to sustain and raise our standard of living.
While next-generation manufacturing is a national priority in the United States and countries such as Germany, it so far has not been a clear priority for Canada.
