Liberals’ ‘just transition’ short on details, but it won’t come cheap, says labour group
The government is now gathering input for legislation to aid energy workers who could be pushed out of work by the move towards a net-zero economy.

Natural Resources Canada is soliciting feedback from provincial and territorial governments, First Nations, labour, and industry on its proposed 'just transition' legislation, and the department launched an online consultation for members of the public. Officials from the department will be meeting with selected stakeholders across the country over the summer and the government will also be naming an advisory panel to help it craft the legislation, Mr. O'Regan said.
