RCMP neck-hold review ‘ongoing’ four months after Lucki’s promise
RCMP headquarters began tracking the use of the 'carotid control hold' by its officers nationwide in September. It has been used once since then, says a spokesperson.
RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki said her force would 'review' the use of the carotid neck hold by its officers in early June. That review is not yet complete, and the RCMP isn't sharing any of the details about who is being consulted and when it will be finished. The Hill Times photograph by Andrew Meade
