Gould expected to introduce political financing bill, but critics say it won’t stop cash-for-access

Conservative MP Scott Reid said the bill doesn't deal with the main problem, 'which is that you ought not to be able to get access to decision-makers in return for cash contributions.'

Earlier this month in the House, Democratic Institutions Minister Karina Gould signalled the plan is on track for the political financing bill to be introduced before Parliament rises for the summer recess. The Hill Times photograph by Jake Wright
