Anti-terrorism program gets $8 million

Foreign Minister John Baird announced last week that Canada would contribute $8 million more to help the world fight terrorism, the Canadian Press reported. After showing support for the UN's counter-terrorism initiatives, Mr. Baird said the new funds would go to a program aimed at helping other countries fight terrorism through better training, equipment, and technical assistance. Baird referred to terrorism as the great struggle of this generation.
