Defence Minister David McGuinty will be in charge of more than $9-billion in additional funding for the Canadian Armed Forces this fiscal year. A June 9 announcement said that funding would go towards better pay for Canada’s soldiers, new aircraft, and repairs for existing infrastructure among other purposes.
