Anti-racism policy is timely but should be handled with care

The Liberals would do well not to get too high on their horses and claim to be the most virtuous. Voters are not responding positively. A new non-accusatory narrative is needed, one that invites everyone to build a harmonious society. Build from the enormous positivity in our society, don’t be run by the negative.

Canadian Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez, pictured on the Hill on May 13, 2019, announced the particulars of the government's anti-racism policy last week and a program which includes funding to community groups to combat racism and the re-instatement of an Anti-Racism Secretariat to take the leadership in a federal and a federal-provincial approach to combating racism.
