Supreme Court upholds Bruce Carson’s influence-peddling conviction

The court ruled in an 8-1 verdict released Friday that the ex-Conservative PMO aide broke the law when he tried to use his influence with government to secure contracts supplying water filtration units to First Nations communities for a company employing his then-girlfriend.
