Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will unveil his newly minted cabinet this week and Parliament is returning next month, but still it’s unclear how the new government will address the economic woes of Canadians living in Alberta and Saskatchewan. In the Oct. 21 election, both provinces elected 47 of the 48 MPs from the Conservative Party, and did not elect even one Liberal MP in the two Prairie provinces because of dissatisfaction with the governing party’s performance, as well as the government’s direction on progressive environmental and energy policies. The NDP was able to win one seat in Alberta.
