Re: “De Adder’s Take,” (The Hill Times, Aug. 28, p. 8). Andrew Scheer’s problem is that, as the consensus party leader, he doesn’t have the same iron fist mandate that Stephen Harper had. I like that he hasn’t fit other members of his party with iron masks or sewed their mouths shut, but it could cost him in some ridings, when some of the crazier statements go viral. Hopefully, this means that if Mr. Scheer becomes prime minister, we’re not going to have another round of being ruled by the boys in short pants from the PMO.
