Elections are in the air. Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories just wrapped up municipal ones. Provincially, voters in New Brunswick, Ontario, and Quebec have just elected new governments—on Nov. 2, Liberal Brian Gallant’s incumbent New Brunswick government was defeated by a vote of confidence. Alberta and Newfoundland and Labrador are in high gear with scheduled elections next spring and fall, respectively. British Columbia’s New Democratic government teeters precariously with a razor-thin minority.
