KAMOURASKA, Que.—When I look back at this year, 2018 will be remembered as the “year of the bicycle.” But it may be for many other Canadians as well; the two-wheeled vehicles are everywhere this summer: country roads, city streets, and major highways, and almost every vehicle on the road seems to have at least one bike on a rack. Of the 14 million Canadians who ride, bicycling is source of exercise, transportation, and tourism. And with those issues in mind, road safety continues to be a major concern.
