Malala Yousafzai, the young woman from Pakistan who, at 17, became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, will address Canada’s Parliament today in the House of Commons at 12 p.m. Ms. Yousafzai has been an outspoken advocate for the right of women and girls to have access to an education. In 2012, she was targeted by the Taliban for her championing of the issue, and was shot in the head. She recovered from the attack, and has continued to speak around the globe about the right of women to have an education. In 2014, Ms. Yousafzai was awarded honorary citizenship by the Canadian government.
