Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s director of appointments Mary Ng won the Liberal nomination in Markham-Thornhill, Ont., in a controversial nomination meeting on March 4. Opponents of Ms. Ng described this as a “rigged” nomination in which senior Liberals pulled the strings behind the scenes to engineer the desired outcome.
