‘Complete revision’ suggested for Canada’s Food Guide

Kate Comeau of Dietitians of Canada said the diversity of the Canadian diet needs to be taken into account when considering revisions of the Food Guide, including geographic diversity and cultural dietary preferences in a multicultural society.

As Health Canada reviews Canada’s Food Guide, many are demanding that it be drastically overhauled to combat obesity and take into consideration the diversity of the Canadian population.
