Trudeau’s PMO enthusiastic, but swamped: ‘It’s not a hill, it’s a mountain they’re about to climb’

By Laura Ryckewaert

At the same time, it’s also enormously daunting. It’s not a hill, it’s a mountain that they’re about to climb in terms of the workload and in terms of the pressure they’ll be faced with,' says Earnscliffe Strategy Group's Charles Bird. Staffers in the new Liberal Prime Minister’s Office are still feeling invigorated three months after their party won a surprising majority government and are “enthusiastic” to get to work on the government’s stacked agenda, say Liberal sources, but it’s also “enormously daunting.”
