Veteran Hill journalists David McKie and Jim Bronskill, authors of the new book, Your Right to Know: How to Use the Law to Get Government Secrets, have been around the block once or twice and they know the Access to Information Act inside out, or like the back of their hands. The two say Canada’s access-to-information law is the “ultimate form of democracy,” but that it’s badly in need of an update. They’re absolutely right.
