For some crazy reason, the Pentagon wants to see progress in curbing the Ukrainian military’s corruption before simply handing over a massive arsenal of modern weaponry.
The addition of Ukraine to the Automatic Firearms Country Control List means Canadian companies and individuals can apply to export prohibited weapons to Ukraine, which Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland says reflects the close ties between Canada and Ukraine.
