The 15th annual Shaughnessy Cohen prize-winning book of the year called for the return of reason to Canadian politics. Joseph Heath, author of Enlightenment 2.0: Restoring Sanity to Our Politics, Our Economy, and Our Lives, published by HarperCollins, won the $25,000 prize, and it was one heck of a splashy shindig. The evening raised more than $330,000 for the Writers’ Trust of Canada.
