Sean Krausert and Erika Luoma

Sean Krausert is the executive director of CASP. He joined CASP last year and has been instrumental in moving the envelope forward in a number of areas including advocacy, Indigenous relations, political lobbying and collaboration. Erika Luoma is the communications and fund development manager for CASP. With a post-degree diploma in print journalism and an undergrad in political science, Erika has over 20 years of public sector communications experience.

Legislation for suicide prevention put forth by NDP MP Charlie Angus’ private member’s motion, M-174, established a 13-point National Action Plan for suicide prevention that was unanimously adopted by Parliament in May 2019.  However, this falls short of being a national strategy, write Sean Krausert and Erika Luoma.
