In making the case for Bill C-15, Justice Minister David Lametti told a parliamentary committee that the legislation will offer hope to Indigenous youth who, 'see a future in which strong, self-determined Indigenous peoples thrive and are connected to the land and culture,' and where, 'Indigenous-Crown relations are truly nation-to-nation, reflecting equality and respect, and not colonial attitudes,' writes Ernie Daniels.
