Election or not, the past 12 months have been good to Conservatives' attack dog Government House Leader John "The Pit Bull" Baird. He has again dominated the Hill Times' 19th annual Politically Savvy Survey, claiming a total of five titles, including Biggest Gossip. Mr. Baird (Ottawa West-Nepean, Ont.) also walked away with the titles of Best Cabinet Minister in Question Period; Best Government MP in Question Period; Best Cabinet Minister in Scrums; and Most Influential in Cabinet, reaffirming his position as Prime Minister Stephen Harper's (Calgary Southwest, Alta.) right-hand man.
