PARLIAMENT HILL—June is ALS Awareness Month in Canada. Each year at this time, those living with ALS and those who support them work hard throughout the month to raise awareness of this terrible disease so that we can get closer to better treatment and a cure. I have a very personal connection to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. My own father, Joseph, passed away from ALS a decade ago after suffering its effects for several years.
