Fewer media outlets on 2015 leaders’ tours due to long campaign, less value-for-money
This election, a seat on the Conservative leader’s tour costs $3,000 per day, $12,500 per week or $78,000 for all 11 weeks. The NDP is offering a $700-per-day bus-only option, or $2,000 per day with plane use. It costs $12,500 per week or $50,000 for all 11 weeks with the NDP tour. The Liberals are charging $2,500 per day, $12,500 per week or $50,000 for the full 11 weeks.
