Duffy charges Senate $8,300 for cancelled Conservative Party appearance in B.C.

The cancellation resulted in a three-day stay for suspended Senator Mike Duffy and his wife at the downtown Vancouver Four Seasons Hotel with nothing but Labour Day weekend time on their hands and a Senate expense claim for $6,966 in return air fare and $1,339 for hotel room and meals, plus taxis.

Former Cabinet minister Gary Lunn, pictured in a 2010 file photo at a Conservative caucus meeting, will testify at suspended Senator Mike Duffy's trial on fraud, breach of trust and bribery today. The Hill Times photograph by Jake Wright
