Canada’s environment threatened by regressive changes in omnibus budget bill, say critics

Environmentalists say the government's move to 'gut' the Canadian Environment Assessment Act will weaken environmental protection assessments for development projects like the tar sands, mine, oil and gas pipelines and nuclear power plants.
