Both opposed a House administration proposal to help MPs better manage their offices. Among their concerns was the House administration having any hand in recruitment of employees, and losing autonomy as employers. Both opposed a House administration proposal to help MPs better manage their offices. Among their concerns was the House administration having any hand in recruitment of employees, and losing autonomy as employers. For example, in the case of recruitment support, Mr. Strahl queried how resumés would be sourced, screened and who would determine what gets passed on to MPs looking for candidates.
