Laura Dawson, the new director of the Canada Institute at the Wilson Center in Washington, DC, told Embassy in an interview Friday that she’s taking advantage of a transition, with both Canadian and American elections coming up, to brainstorm ideas about how Canada can exert more influence in the United States.
