Re: “Faith communities should be responding to MMIWG report,” (The Hill Times, June 24, p. 15). It was most encouraging to read the Hill Times article by Dr. Nabil Sultan, chair of the Muslim Association of Canada. There, he makes an appeal to the Muslim faith followers and its institutions to be morally conscious and to be responsive to the evolving history of the Indigenous people, with special reference to the injustices done to them. He as well appeals for the need towards interfaith reconciliation with the First People.
