Politics This Morning: Supreme Court to rule on expats’ right to vote
By Beatrice Paez Jan. 11, 2019
The Supreme Court is set to rule this morning on the constitutional challenge over whether long-term expats have the right to vote after they've lived abroad for more than five years.
Ottawa recently passed legislation restoring their voting rights, and depending on the top court's decision, it could make it harder for successive governments to restrict the vote. The Hill Times file photograph by Andrew Meade
