Hundreds gather for evening of lawn bowling for cystic fibrosis
On a beautiful and warm summer evening, some 250 Hill staffers, lobbyists, marketing gurus, small business owners, public servants, non-profit workers, media, and lawyers flocked to the historic Elmdale Lawn Bowling Club in Ottawa to lawn bowl and fundraise for cystic fibrosis. This is the tenth year the Ottawa Lawn Summer Nights (LSN) has held the month-long fundraiser, held every Wednesday evening in July. Last year, the event in Ottawa raised $86,000, and nationally, more than $700,000 was raised. The goal this year is to raise $100,000, while the nationally, LSN hopes to raise $1-million.
