Federal, provincial NDP branches walk fine line on carbon pricing

The federal and Alberta NDP offer differing reactions to the Liberals' carbon pricing plan. And their next co-ordination challenge could be the Kinder Morgan pipeline.

NDP environment critic Linda Duncan is downplaying the possibility of a rift between the federal and Alberta wings of the party after the province’s premier suggested her support for the Trudeau government’s carbon pricing scheme would be contingent on approval of a new oil pipeline.
