May is Melanoma Awareness Month. Melanoma is the deadliest of skin cancers and is on the rise in millennials when it doesn’t need to be. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our influential prime minister (who is also minister of youth) would announce a national skin cancer prevention strategy? Australia did this and now has a lower rate of invasive melanoma than nearby New Zealand. Australia is happily saving lives while preserving public health-care dollars.
