New Brunswick Senator John Wallace will move a motion today in an attempt to change rules around eligibility for committee membership in the Upper Chamber following the appointment of seven new independent Senators. Currently only Senators who are part of a recognized political party are able to be committee members. Sen. Wallace told The Hill Times recently that this makes Senators unequal and beholden to political parties. “We have a lack of equality amongst Senators. Not all Senators
