Conservative MPs quietly repay money to House administration

A number of Conservative MPs quietly cut a cheque to the House of Commons administration to repay the cost of mailings found to be in contravention of House rules by the Board of Internal Economy earlier this year, prompting the House administration to amend MP guidelines. “The mailing itself was a letter signed by myself and nine other Members of the Manitoba Conservative Caucus and mailed,” said Conservative MP Joy Smith (Kildonan-St.Paul, Man.) in an email response to questions
