Stephen Maher is one of the best political reporters on the Hill and a national columnist with soul. Now he’s a novelist. The 47-year-old Nova Scotia native who’s probably best known for breaking the “robocalls” story with Ottawa Citizen reporter Glen McGregor, released his e-book last week, called Deadline. The book, selling for $7.87, hit No. 5 last week on Amazon’s bestsellers in Kindle and was in the top 20 bestsellers by the end of the week.
