Public Works has recruited accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to conduct a financial audit of the West Block, the Wellington Building and the Sir John A. Macdonald building renovations, which the department says will cost approximately $112,608 this fiscal year. Public Works awarded the audit contract to PricewaterhouseCoopers, a multi-national professional services firm, on Oct. 1. No formal announcement of the contract was made, but the awarding was posted on Merx, an electronic, publicly accessible government contract-tendering site.
