The Aug. 14 Joint Statement on NORAD Modernization by National Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan, pictured, and the U.S. Secretary of Defense says the two countries will ‘move forward deliberately’ with a co-ordinated approach to North American security. To do that, engagement between the two departments needs to go further, focus on organizational changes, and leverage Canadian cyber assets and expertise, writes Kristen Csenkey.
