After years of escalating concern about employers’ growing reliance on, and widespread exploitation of, low-wage migrant workers, the Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities (HUMA Committee) is reviewing the controversial program and will report to the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour MaryAnn Mihychuk.
