Parliament returns, election buzz continues

Ignatieff's self-interested, Harper's mean, and Grits have painted themselves into a corner, say Wiseguys.

POWERS: Parliament apparently begins sitting on Sept. 14 but you'd never know that given Michael Ignatieff's lust to drive Canadians to the polls. Yet again it is abundantly clear that the capital "I" in Ignatieff represents one man's self-interested journey for power regardless of the cost to the Canadian taxpayer. Only Michael Ignatieff would think that now is the time to have a $300-million popularity contest. No politician is without ego but most do a better job of tempering themselves and demonstrating patience. Perhaps there is an issue of tenure expiring at Harvard that the leader of the opposition needs to address.
