Spin is an essential part of the extensive efforts of the Harper government to create a reality for voters that will increase the odds of re-election, preferably with a majority.
Kory Teneycke worked for CBC News for several months as a commentator on several of its public affairs programs before he became VP of Business Development for Quebecor Media Inc. early in June 2010. Teneycke had been director of communications for the PMO from July 2008 to July 2009, thus the highly-subsidized CBC used taxpayers' money to give a forum to a fierce partisan. And they pay other partisans to do the same thing. This is a wonderful example of the extent to which political "spin" has become respectable.
