'System will require new dollars': Health Minister McLellan

New money to fix medicare should be from federal surplus or reallocation of revenues, not new taxes, says McLellan

Health Minister Anne McLellan is dismissing the idea of creating a new tax to fix the country's ailing healthcare system, adding that she would prefer Ottawa pay for the improvements by drawing from the federal surplus or a reallocation of revenues.

Health Minister Anne McLellan is dismissing the idea of creating a new tax to fix the country's ailing healthcare system, adding that she would prefer Ottawa pay for the improvements by drawing from the federal surplus or a reallocation of revenues.
