The culture war hit Parliament Hill full force last week

Gay pride events, abortion rallies, the troops and 1980s rock bands all made for one weird week in Ottawa.

After four years of pretending to have mellowed, the Conservatives are reviving their opposition to all those issues that scared everyone into giving the Liberals a few more years in government. That's right, if you're a woman with an unwanted pregnancy, a homosexual with the audacity to feel proud about it, or you work for the CBC then watch out, because last week on Parliament Hill the Tories continued to make clear that the only thing that's changed from 2004 is that now they're in government.
