Tories prorogue fun at Black History Month reception

Last week politicos were entertained by the Harper Tories' efforts to look busy

Last week on Parliament Hill Immigration Minister Jason Kenney hosted a reception in Room 200 West Block to celebrate the beginning of Black History Month. The word "celebrate" should be used lightly, as when Party Central approached the bar to snatch a glass of complimentary vino, the bartender explained the event was totally dry aside for carbonated water in wine glasses. It was never explained what is incongruous about Black History and free booze, but one can only conclude that in addition to proroguing Parliament the Conservatives are also seeking to put a moratorium on fun.
