Well it's been one crazy year, and an even crazier decade in Canadian politics. Looking back at 1999 who would have thought that a fiery young ideologue who headed up a rightwing group called the National Citizens Coalition would become the longest serving minority Prime Minister in Canadian history. Or that the party that same young ideologue called 'The Benign Dictatorship' would be whittled down to John Turner levels of seats and popularity, when back then it looked like they would rule Canada until the end of time. Things move quickly up here in Ottawa, and a look back at the past year, from the resurrection of Stephen Harper to the rise and fall of Michael Ignatieff, shows that it's getting faster all the time.
