Mulcair has charisma, experience, to lead NDP during this difficult time

NDP MP Thomas Mulcair may not be the most popular candidate within Layton's inner circle, the party faithful must consider the big picture and not their defunct leader's wishes.

When I turned the television on last Monday morning a headline ran at the bottom of the screen that read "Jack Layton 1950- 2011." I shut my eyes and opened them again hoping it was a dream. I couldn't breathe for a moment. I had faith that Jack would win the battle, but he didn't.
