Attempting to take civic responsibility I'm involved in several social, cultural, political, economic, and environmental initiatives. I work with groups that include smart, articulate, capable, and committed people who've done their homework and understand the political terrain they must traverse. They offer smart alternatives, are realistic in expectations, and their proposals have significant prospects of successful outcomes. Yet, almost everywhere I see stasis. If there is any change at all, it moves at a snail's pace. There's something wrong here.
